A & D Auto Sales, Inc., owned and operated by Dane Roessler (shown right), first opened for business in April 1997 on the corner of Jefferies and Robertson.

Mr. Roessler takes a caring - even humanitarian - approach to running A & D Auto Sales. "We don't just sell cars, we make friends! We're here to build long-term relationships!"

And while many auto dealerships say those words - he means them! The results of his efforts are the proof! In April of 2001, the business showed growth results when it moved to its current location on Bells Highway.

A & D Auto Sales is not afraid to break new ground with regards to humanitarian efforts. In 1998, he initiated "Colleton Cares Toys For Kids", a program designed for the needy children of Colleton County who would otherwise not have presents for Christmas. This program is such a tremendous success that it is now overseen by the United Way.

In the fall of 2005, if one drove by the dealership they would have seen truck containers in the parking lot, filling up with goods and supplies for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Says Mr. Roessler, "We always have something going on here. If someone approaches us, we try to help whether it's through donations, advertising and so on."
